Crisis Center

Covenant House Missouri will soon offer 24 hour Crisis Services to homeless youth ages 16-21.

Youth are homeless for various reasons. Regardless of their reason, Covenant House Missouri is there for them. With open arms, we welcome youth to enter our doors where they will feel safe, secure, and relieved of all the stressors that involve homelessness. When youth enter the doors of Covenant House Missouri, we address their immediate needs first i.e. food, shower, and clothing. First we heal the body, then we heal the person. Once basic needs are met, a plan is developed to assist youth out of crisis and into stability. While enrolled at Covenant House Missouri, youth will have access to other supportive services including case management, medical care, and counseling.

In the past, well over 50% of our youth enrolled in residential services because of family conflict. With that being said, our number one goal is to assist each youth with reconnecting and mending familial relations with hopes that they will transition back home with their family. In other cases, youth will progress from Crisis to the Rights of Passage transitional living program – which will begin the path of living in the community independently.

Crisis care is not subject to any predetermined admission criteria except if the youth is a danger to him/herself or others.
