Eight year old Jamie Dahl was inspired to make a difference, after her mother read to her God are You out There? Jamie decided to make a difference in the lives of homeless youth in Missouri. Jamie led her United Methodist church congregation and raised $150 in quarters, which her father’s business then matched. Jamie and her mother traveled to St. Louis from Bethel, Missouri and donated the $300 to Covenant House Missouri.
Jamie has been the inspiration for creating the Quarters for Covenant House Missouri program. Just as this dedicated eight year old found the time and love in her heart, any church youth groups, sororities, fraternities, auxiliary groups, or interested individuals are invited to collect quarters for the youth we serve. Covenant House exists because of the enduring support of thousands of individuals who believe, with us, that every youth has a right to the presence of caring adults in his or her life.
