3 youth and one Case Manager took a road trip to Jefferson City to participate in the Governor’s Conference To End Homelessness on November 15th. The purpose of the road trip was to participate in the Youth Perspective Panel Discussion that focused on educating the public on youth homelessness. In addition, the youth discussed various ways agencies and communities can create or improve programs to better serve these talented, highly motivated youth. Many of the 30-40 attendees were impressed at the confidence, insight, optimism and foresight these youth displayed. I have contributed to Covenant House New Orleans for about 15 yrs. As a native of St. Louis, I was surprised to learn of CHMO, We moved to Alabama in 1976. I will send a donation in honor or Stan THE MAN. I am 75 yrs. old so the Cardinals as well as Stan are part of me. Attended my first Cardinal game at 7 yrs. old & we took our two oldest children to Stan’s last game. So very many memories of Sportsman’s Park and all that has happened over the years. There is no place like home for baseball in St. Louis.
