Who are We?

Covenant House Missouri (CHMO) is a non-profit organization that empowers homeless, runaway and at-risk youth to live independently and become contributing members of our community.

With open doors and open hearts, CHMO gives homeless teens hope and the opportunity to break the cycle of chronic homelessness and unemployment.

Facts & Figures

  • Last year, Covenant House Missouri took 195 homeless youth off the streets.
  • Last year, the youth on average saved $1,735 after completing a course on financial literacy.
  • The number one reason youth are homeless is family conflict.
  • Every 9 seconds, a student drops out of high school. Last year, Covenant House Missouri helped 12 students graduate from high school.
  • Currently, 11 formerly homeless youth are attending college and six of these youth have completed their first year.
  • Tonight more than two million kids will sleep outside on America’s streets.
  • Last year, Covenant House Missouri reached over 3,000 homeless or at-risk youth in the St Louis area.
  • Covenant House Missouri’s Garden Rangers program teaches employability skills while giving the youth hands on experience with community restoration and earning a small hourly wage.
  • Covenant House Missouri offers homeless youth the chance to change to trajectory of their lives and not become a chronically homeless adult.
